Duncan is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with long experience in the management, financing, and financial direction of manufacturing, trading, and service industries.

He has served as Chief Accountant and Company Secretary of Metrosound, a manufacturer and importer of hi-fi equipment, audio cassettes, and audio accessories with £3 million annual sales, where he was responsible for financial, management, and statutory, reporting. He close-down the loss-making electronics production and negotiated the sale of the company.


He then became Group Financial Controller of Tricentrol plc, an oil company with £200m turnover and commercial businesses in manufacturing and trading industries. He was responsible for project appraisal, statutory and management reports, and financial control.


Duncan then moved to become Finance Manager/Financial Director in UK and Switzerland, of Comtech plc, a holding company for high- technology and commercial businesses, responsible for venture capital, equity funding, contract negotiation, treasury, corporate tax planning, statutory and management reporting, budgets and long-range plans. He set up financial frameworks, and venture capital funding, of four new product divisions.


He was then appointed as Development and Property Director of Trimoco plc (Ford, Vauxhall, Peugeot franchises, turnover of £250 million, profits of £2.5 million), responsible for acquisitions and disposals of motor dealerships, and properties. This was followed by a move to a document courier company, providing services to the insurance, optical, and travel industries, where he was Finance and Administration Director.


Since 1993, when he became a management and financial consultant, he has carried out over 250 assignments in the UK, Ghana, central & eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Egypt, and Mongolia, advising the manufacturing, trading, and service sectors. Industries advised include textiles, food and beverages, electronics, health service management, printing, energy generation, construction, furniture, hotel and catering, airports operation, and building products.
